Minutes – In Book at table
Treasurer Report – Sandra provided a report on our spending and income and identified a balance $4,031.00
New Business
Tim mentioned that the club is still looking for new officers and asked if anyone was interested. There was no response. Pointed out that current officers and directors would assist as needed. Glenn nominated the Brown family for President, but the Brown’s respectfully declined the nomination, so no vote was taken on the nomination.
Old Business
November 12th – Pork barbecue at Glenn’s. Starts at 1pm, bring drinks. Bring a dish. Organic, free-ranging swine.
Florida Symposium – February 3-5, 2012 at Lake Yale Baptist Confernece Center – Sign up for workshops soon as they fill up quickly; still looking for tools or other items to donate to the auction.
Mentioned the fair in February.
Buy and Sell
Don Avery mentioned that they have 5 lathes for sale. He provided the time and location to see the lathes.
Raffle
Judy raffled off many great pieces of wood.
Show and Tell
Several people brought in pieces – bowls, vases, oil lamp holders, tooth pick holders, a sea urchin ornament, santa claus and snow angel, etc.
Demonstration
The demonstration was provided by Glenn Ploeckelmann. He showed us how to turn and assemble the various parts of a bird house ornament. He showed us how to use jigs, where to get the birds, how to attach eye screws, etc. It was an excellent demonstration and enjoyed by all.
Meeting ended at 8:40 pm.
