The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President Dennis Perez.
There was a brief discussion of rules of competition regarding the goblet contest. Voting tickets were handed out upon arrival.
Guests were introduced and welcomed.
Minutes were read from the last meeting by Joan.
The treasurer's report was given by Bill. Beginning balance was $4447.18 with an income of $261.00. Expenses totaled $42.77 leaving an ending balance of $4665.41
OLD BUSINESS:
Another reminder to members to check to make sure they are current on their dues.
Band saw blade order goes in 06/05/08 if anyone would like to get in on the order.
NEW BUSINESS:
Al Hockenberry brought information regarding a special raffle being held to help Phil
Brenan get through a trying time in his physical therapy. Tickets are $5, 5 for $20 and
30 for $100. They will be on sale through 06/20/08 and the Powermatic lathe grand
prize was donated by the company. Members are encouraged to participate. On line
information at Woodturner.org. A motion was made and seconded that the club
purchase $200 worth of the tickets.
Another motion was put forth to purchase for the club library a Cd Rom costing $95
with 8 years of back issues of More Woodturning magazine. The motion passed.
Members were advised that Ted Gibson was very ill battling cancer.
The head mechanic at Al's Lawnmower shop can help any members with projects
requiring oversize cutting on a band saw.

Guest demo artist this month was Al Hockenberry with his ever amusing ball in a
ball and the unique chuck he uses to facilitate his magic.
