Rudy Lopez brought meeting to order at 7:02 pm.

Welcome – Guests (7 guests were introduced)
Minutes from Last Meeting – In notebook for all to review. Treasurer’s Report and Meeting Minutes will always be available for review at the table at the back of the room.
Treasurer’s Report – Sandra – Current balance is $4,227.91.
Donations are due! Pay Sandra or use PayPal online.
Old Business:
Sending two boys to the Symposium; Need chaperone for boys – we will pay $132 to fund half of his expenses. Motion was made and carried.
New Business:
County is charging $20 per hour for use of this building. $60 per meeting currently.
Rudy proposes to keep donations at $20 per person this year, but may have to increase next year.
Fundraising Ideas:
Rudy proposed for following ideas/concepts for consideration. All were supported by a majority of those in attendance.
Separate Raffle for Hands-On Instruction -- $5 per ticket. The winner would receive a day of hands-on instruction by one of the experienced club members at his or her shop or at the trainer’s shop.
Club Art Show/Open House – Open house for the general public. Members will do demos and have items available for sale. This would provide exposure for the club and woodturning in general, and allow people an opportunity to display and/or sell their work. A percentage of proceeds would go to the club.
All day hands-on workshop for $25. The topics would be decided on in advance but might include sharpening, demos of different tools and techniques, finishing, etc.
Show and Tell – Start at 6:30 for all those who want to participate; Cards with the info on the piece – critique in 2 minutes only. Good learning and educational opportunity.
Jimmy Clewes – March 6th Demo at this facility; Sharing the demo with the Largo club. There is a potential to move the demo to the Largo facility. Fee is $25 per person which includes lunch and the demo. Hands-on workshop at the Hockenberry’s home – 3 days (2nd, 3rd, and 4th of March). Price will be $350 for the three days. Eight people will be participating – two spaces left. Many thanks to the Hockenberry’s for their substantial and continued support of the club activities.
Shirts – Bill is moving to Tennessee. Currently at 5 shirts and we need 8 for an order. $25 per shirt with $5 going to the club. Tim Gates will take over the shirt ordering process.
Bob Winter – Auctioneer. Still looking for donated items to auction at the symposium. The effort will result in a check to the club for educational purposes. Please find items to donate.

George Dinsmore. Hollow form ornaments. George provided an excellent demonstration on his process for making hollow form ornaments. Great discussions on tools and their use.
