VP Rudy opened meeting of 2/4/09 at 7:00 p.m.
 
Rudy welcomed new members and guests, we had 3 new members and 3 guests.
 
Bill read the treasury report and announced that the John Jordan workshop was cancelled and the people who pre-paid would receive refunds.
 
Rudy announced the workshop on Saturday 2/28 from 9-4:30, if you are going to participate you will need to be an AAW member and remember to bring tools and face shield or eye protection. Rudy inquired as to who would be interested in coming to the workshop and 20 people raised their hands.
 
Rudy asked if anyone was buying or selling and Bob Winter was selling Indian Rosewood; John Benton was selling a craftsman lathe for $400.
 
George Dinsmore talked about the state fair and needs turners to demo, all who are interested should contact George.
 
Tampa Woodwork Show March 13,14,15.  Those interested in demoing should contact alhockenbery@aol.com.
 
The Club contest for March will be a bowl.   Size of bowl can be no larger than 8 in. diameter x 8 in. deep.
 
Tonight’s demo will be done be Ron Browning. He will be turning a bowl and showing how to sand and finish it.
